I always imagine Shikamaru and Chouji's friendship a bit unmutual at first. The way young Chouji's portrayed in the manga makes him seem like he'd latch onto anyone who showed him kindness if they'd let him. And Shikamaru doesn't seem the social type, but I can imagine him shrugging it off, "Hm, guess I got some friendship thing goin on now." Ha ha. I was planning on inking this and posting it, but I'm notorious for being too scared to finalize ANYTHING. So, here you go. In my mind I specifically wanted the door framing Shikamaru and his body framing Chouji, and it took a long time to figure out how to compose this! By the way, sorry for Chouji being a bit weird. This is actually a pretty small drawing, so I wasn't able to get into him that much. |

Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
